He's recently back in Alaska after touring with Jack Johnson as his personal chef. Too cool, right? He's now offering his culinary talents to those in Anchorage www.deliciousdave.com. He shares stories from cooking backstage with artists like Jack Johnson and Justin Timberlake, ideas on what to do with local produce in Alaska and the items received in CSA boxes, and bringing local people together socially through meals.

Do you want to be famous for a day???
We want to feature our customers in our upcoming print ad campaign. The rules are super-easy just e-mail a head or torso picture of you by yourself or you with a friend or relative to theclotheslineconsignment@gci.net. Hint: we'd love to get a mother-daughter, sister-sister, mommy-to-be or best friends picture that you would to like appear in print ads along with your name/s. We want a fair representation of our customers so we are looking for all ages, sizes and backgrounds- the only requirement is an engaging smile. As an added bonus, the lovely ladies selected will win a $50 dollar gift certificate to spend at The Clothesline.
Submissions due by September 13 but the sooner we receive them the better. Please include your phone number in the e-mail so we can reach you if need be. The Clothesline Consignment is fresh and fun locally-owned store with friendly staff, great like-new merchandise, and prices consumers will love. The store offers a unique assortment of womens clothing size 0-22, shoes, and accessories with brands from casual to designer. New inventory is added daily. Store hours are Saturday through Monday 11 am to 5 pm and Tuesday through Friday, 11 am to 7 pm. The store is located in Suite A of the Northern Lights Village shopping plaza off Northern Lights Blvd. between Spenard Road and Minnesota Drive, directly across from the Alaska Club West.

The Zonta Club Opens Fundraising Account
The Zonta Club of Anchorage has opened a consignment account. Proceeds from clothing and accessories sold under this account will go to The Zonta Club of Anchorage. This organization participates locally to provide support to other organizations who have compatible mission statements. Such organizations are the Salvation Army, AWAIC (Abused Women's Aid In Crisis), Clare House, The 4-A's, The Girl Scouts, Arts on the Edge, Mother's Voices and many others. AWAIC Added to Donation List
Beginning in July AWAIC will be making weekly pick ups of our unconsigned and unsold clothing. We couldn't be more pleased to add the AWAIC shelter to the list of charities we support. We'd also like to thank Vera of The Southcentral Foundation Women in Recovery Project and the Sabrina of The Covenant House for making it so easy to support these great causes.

We have some very stylish brands that you just can't buy at a retail store in Anchorage. We've also gotten in some great basics - the kind you just want to wear over and over.
